It is important that the capacitance of multilayer ceramic capacitors used in electric vehicles does not change with temperature. Some pyrochlore oxides with ferroelectric properties are known to be materials with relatively high and temperature-stable dielectric constants, and their dielectric properties are believed to be due to the spread of the positions of the A-site ions. This study attempted to control the spatial arrangement of Y sites in Y2Ti2O7 by partially substituting Y with Sc, which has a smaller ionic radius, or La, which has a larger ionic radius.
