To meet the requirement for high energy density and cycle performance in all-solid-state batteries, understanding the decomposition behavior of cathode composites during charge-discharge cycling is important. Herein, we evaluate the local resistance of cathode composites in all-solid-state batteries by scanning spreading resistance microscopy and analyze the decomposition mechanism of the cathode composite. The analysis by scanning spreading resistance microscopy demonstrates the presence of the isolated active material particles, which is one of the factors causing cycle fade due to charging at high potentials.
