While perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) have excellent optical properties, their LEDs are still hampered in practical applications by the low external quantum efficiency (EQE). In this study, we focused on the surface ligands of PeQDs and aimed to overcome this issue by synthesizing a ligand focusing on the structure of the 'head group' which binds to PeQDs, and the 'tail group' of the alkyl groups. With this ligand, we succeeded in improving the maximum EQE of PeQDs LEDs by more than two-fold.
