Wavelength conversion optical devices combining blue InGaN LEDs and green/red nanocrystals (NCs) are expected to produce high-brightness light emission because current is injected only into chemically stable nitride semiconductors, thus suppressing the degradation of NCs. In this study, a red conversion LED combining polymer binder-dispersed CsPbI3 NCs on a blue InGaN LED was actually fabricated and achieved an external quantum efficiency of 26.2%, light output power of 3.47 mW/cm2, and half device lifetime of 103 hours.
