The organic photoelectrochemical transistors (OPECTs), which have great potential for development, has attracted much attention in recent years. OPECTs combine the advantages of both organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) and sensors with quantum dots (QDs) embedded electrodes, and have been actively investigated. In this study, ascorbic acid was added to the electrolyte layer of a conventional OECT and QDs were introduced into the gate electrode. The respective effects on the device were then studied from a microscopic point of view using electron spin resonance techniques.
