Augmented reality (AR) has attracted much attention in recent years as a technology that can be used in a wide range of areas, including education, shopping, and manufacturing. Optical phased array (OPA) is a technology for forming and scanning optical beams, but most of them are based on semiconductor optical integrated circuits for LiDAR applications, and the operating wavelength is in the near-infrared region. In this study, we aim to realize an integrated OPA using a high-speed phase shifter based on the magneto-optic effect, with a view to AR applications.
