Although semiconductor lasers are expected to be mounted on mounting substrates for further miniaturization, power saving, and cost reduction of optical packaging, the insufficient reliability of optical components is an obstacle to their integration. We have been conducting research and development of optical devices using high-density and highly uniform InAs-based quantum dots on GaAs substrates. In this study, we evaluated the fluorescence of the prototype quantum dot structure at low temperature (20 K).
