[17a-P01-49] Observation of short-period Moiré superlattices by piezoresponse force microscopy

Using piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM), we observed short-period moiré superlattices in twisted bilayer WSe2. Previous PFM studies reported long-period moiré superlattices with small twist angles, characterized by triangular domains. In contrast, our observations of short-period moiré superlattices revealed a dot-like pattern accompanied by surface topography variations. These results suggest a strong piezoelectric response in the AA-stacked domains. This presentation will provide an account of these details.
