In the design of perovskite solar cells, many organic compounds act to passivate the grain boundaries of the crystals, and also have a significant effect as self-assembled monolayers that rectify the current at the interface between the electrode and the perovskite. The latter allows for a simple structure without HTM layers to achieve high performance. This presentation will focus on technology that reduces energy loss in solar cells by modifying the interface with organic molecules, leading to increased voltage output from photoelectric conversion. We will also touch on the production technology issues that occur in manufacturing large-area modules for social implementation.
