Effective utilization of electric power is a crucial aspect of achieving carbon neutrality, and the importance of power devices has been grow. While wide bandgap semiconductor power devices such as SiC and GaN have been commercialized and their market is rapidly expanding, silicon power devices are still expected to play a leading role even in 2030. In this presentation, recent technological trends in silicon power devices will be introduced.
