Polyvinylidene cyanide / vinyl acetate (VDCN/VAc) copolymer is a polar polymer that exhibits piezoelectricity when polarization is frozen by cooling while applying a high electric field. Amorphous nature provides excellent flexibility and moldability, and it is expected to be used for piezoelectric applications. On the other hand, applying a larger electric field and polarization freezing is the key to improving piezoelectricity. In this study, we developed a rapid freezing method while applying a high electric field and evaluated the piezoelectric properties of VDCN/VAc copolymers.
