We have fabricated size-controlled ZnO spherical nanoparticles by a combination of laser ablation in gas and inertial effects, and evaluated their quality from their optical properties. In this study, we investigated the fabrication conditions for better quality samples by comparing samples with different fabrication conditions and samples fabricated with a long-pulse (LP) laser. As a result, it was found that there is a correlation between the amount of line defects and point defects, and that point defects can be reduced by increasing the laser fluence.
