We are focusing on an nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond as a device for realizing a quantum repeater. The emission-absorption type entanglement generation does not degrade the state transfer fidelity due to frequency scattering, which is a problem in solid-state devices. Here, we demonstrate that the photon input to the NV center is transferred to the nitrogen nuclear spins, and then the state is transferred to the photon emitted from the NV center by quantum teleportation.
