We are developing a technology to form polymer optical waveguides on glass-epoxy (PCB) substrates. These waveguides are attracting attention as new materials for co-packaged optics due to their low cost, manufacturability through the same processes as electronic circuits, and low loss. Additionally, external laser sources (ELS) with power levels exceeding 100 mW per channel are being discussed for standardization. In this study, we developed a polymer optical splitter with high optical power resistance and demonstrated its effectiveness as a solution for co-packaged optics.
