[18a-B6-7]Emergence and Control of Polar Crystal Structures in Layered Organic Semiconductors by the Effect of Molecular Mixing

We have prepared thin film crystals of mixtures of 4F-Ph-BTBT-C10 and 3F-Ph-BTBT-C10 with fluorine substituents in equal molar ratio, and of unsubstituted Ph-BTBT-C10 in equal molar ratio. The SHG (second harmonic generation) measurements showed that the crystal structure was polarized in the in-plane and transverse directions.The SHG intensity dependence on the incident/outgoing polarization angle was plotted, and different signal patterns were observed depending on the position of fluorine substitution.
