We investigated the effect of the polarity of the applied voltage on the hydrogen isotope separation ability to obtain the modulation effect of the quantum tunneling effect of hydrogen isotope ions through graphene. We observed a clear difference in the separation ability depending on the polarity, suggesting that the shape of the ion transmission potential and the magnitude of the effective voltage are involved.
