Organic thin film transistors were fabricated by fabricating polycrystalline thin films of liquid crystalline organic semiconductor Ph-BTBT-10 using very high-speed (140 mm/s) blade-coating method. By using the liquid crystalline thin film as a precursor, a high-mobility transistor with a small variation of 4.9±0.32 cm2/Vs were achieved even at the very high-speed fabrication required for industrialization. It is concluded that the use of liquid crystallinity is very important in the industrialization of organic transistors using the blade-coating method.
