Keywords:

KTN,electrostrictive effect

The distortion caused by the electrostrictive effect of KTN itself is a factor that changes the optical path length, and the optical path length also changes due to changes in the refractive index due to the photoelastic effect, so it is an important factor in the development of electro-optic devices. We measured the dielectric constant change caused by loading on KTN without lithium doping and estimated the electrostrictive coefficient. The obtained Q11 is approximately 0.08 m4/ C2, which is considered to be a generally good value.
