Pb1-xSnxTe (PST) exhibits significant changes in its physical properties depending on its composition ratio. Particularly under the condition of x > 0.25, the bulk is an insulator, but its surface becomes a metallic topological crystalline insulator (TCI). we focused on the nonlinear planar Hall effect, which is expected to be a method for probing the nontrivial spin texture in momentum space, and evaluated SnTe and PST, which are TCIs, as well as PbTe, which is a bulk insulator.
