Considering 4 boxes model (Atmosphere, Surface Ocean, Deep Ocean, Sediments/Crust), different equilibrium isotopic ratio (¹²⁹I/¹²⁷I) between Ocean and Sediments is found to be possible assuming appropriate parameters (exchange rates between boxes). To elaborate the model, the latitude dependency of ¹²⁹I production rate and detailed Uranium distribution in the crust are considered.
