Currently, gold and indium foil activation methods are used for QA of accelerator-based BNCT, but there is a need to investigate neutron distribution measurement methods to further improve QA accuracy. In this study, using the particle and heavy ion transport code system PHITS, we investigated a method to measure fast neutrons by installing a polyethylene converter in front of a BeO ceramics plates, which is almost unaffected by neutron and can be applied to distribution measurement, and measuring recoil protons produced by elastic scattering with fast neutrons.
