In order to further increase the size of organic EL panels, we are considering forming the upper electrode by sputtering. In this study, we compared the current and voltage brightness characteristics of a sputtered device formed using a cylindrical MgAg target with that of a vapor-deposited device. By inserting LiF to improve electron injection, we were able to obtain a luminescence starting voltage of less than 1V and the same current luminance efficiency compared to a vapor-deposited device.
