Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) evaluates the surface potential of the active layer of organic solar cells by measuring the contact potential difference (CPD) between the sample surface and AFM probe. However, the correlation between the observed CPD and open-circuit voltage (VOC) of the device has not been well established. In this study, the photovoltage is evaluated by the CPD shift under the illumination from the dark condition (ΔCPD). Eventually, the spatial distribution of ΔCPD and its correspondence to the device VOC were discussed.
