High-speed AFM has revolutionized nanoscale imaging, enabling the observation of dynamic processes with unprecedented temporal resolution. Since its inception in 2001, HS-AFM has undergone continuous advancements, achieving imaging speeds of up to 80 ms/frame while maintaining non-invasiveness. Over 15 years, HS-AFM has been applied to study the dynamics of biological and synthetic molecules, yielding groundbreaking insights. The technique has been extended to allow for molecular manipulation, quantitative measurements, and super-resolution imaging. This presentation will provide an overview of HS-AFM applications and highlight the latest developments in the field.
