TTM+MD is a widely used model to describe ablation process, which models electronic system by thermal diffusion equation and lattice system by classical molecular dynamics. The complexity of ablation dynamics hinders its physical interpretation. In this talk, we introduce a mathematical tool called persistent homology for analyzing the microscopic structure dynamics of Al slab model. We talk about a characterization of dynamics with respect to various choice of model input parameters.
