Dielectrophoretic force is a driving force generated when unequal electric fields are applied to microparticles in solvents with different complex permittivities, and has been applied to the accumulation of microparticles. However, since the dielectrophoretic force is generated by unequal electric fields, it is difficult to achieve homogeneous accumulation of microparticles. In order to solve the inhomogeneity in dielectrophoretic accumulation, we have devised a method to macroscopically homogenize the dielectrophoretic field generated by unequal electric fields by distributing many small floating potential electrodes between control electrodes.
