Plasma has been applied not only in industrial fields but also in agriculture and medicine. Plasma-based sterilization is gaining attention for its ability to achieve low-residue toxicity sterilization using substances generated from electrical energy, without relying on highly toxic sterilizing agents. Recent studies have confirmed potent sterilization effects in the neutral pH range by treating tryptophan with plasma. Therefore, this study investigates the sterilization effects of indole, a structural component of tryptophan.
