This study reports on the self-organization of tetrapeptides on graphite surfaces. It reveals that the short tetrapeptide HGHG, composed of only four amino acids, forms a hexagonal self-organized structure on graphite surfaces. AFM images show that the HGHG peptides align regularly and exhibit a multilayer structure. This provides crucial insights into the mechanism of peptide self-organization and its application in biosensors.
