In data-driven materials development, continuity in sample preparation, measurement, and data analysis is required. Automatic dispensing is essential for automating sample preparation, but commercial products are expensive. This study developed an affordable automatic powder dispenser using an electronic balance, a servo motor, and 3D-printed fixtures. This dispenser, controlled by PID, can weigh several hundred milligrams of powder with an error margin within 1 mg and features an automatic PID gain adjustment function. It can accurately weigh even unknown powders, improving experimental efficiency and reproducibility.
