We present an original approach to improve the thermal properties of Cr:LiSAF crystal based on room temperature bonding. Composite sample of Cr:LiSAF and sapphire shows a thermal diffusivity 3 times higher than bulk crystal. These results are promissing for power scaling of Cr:LiSAF laser emission.
