Although perovskite solar cells have shown much attention owing to their superior photoelectric properties, there have been difficulties in the control of film quality. The perovskite formation from precursor solution involves complicated process such as nucleation, crystal growth, defect formation, phase segregation, and so on. Especially, wide-bandgap perovskite with high Br content often suffers from significant voltage loss due to phase segregation and defects. Thus, the observation and understanding of perovskite formation process are of significant importance. In this study, perovskite formation dynamics and following film properties were studied with utilizing in-situ optical spectroscopy. In addition, hetero-valent metal additive was introduced to suppress halide segregation.
