We investigated the relation between meniscus shape and thin film formation by observing the meniscus shape and analyzing the solution flow in the bar-coating process for perovskite films. The contact angle at the meniscus edge decreased with increasing substrate temperature, and the solution flow analysis using the Navier-Stokes equation suggested an increase in the flow velocity toward the meniscus edge. In the evaporation regime, the surface morphology and film thickness changed as the substrate temperature varied. Details of the meniscus shape changes as a function of sweep speed will also be presented.
