We have grown Fe-Ga magnetostrictive alloy single crystals in the shape of square prisms up to 2.6 inch square using the vertical Bridgman (VB) method. Using 2.6 inch square Fe-Ga single crystals, we have developed the processing method for Fe-Ga plates that can be used for magnetostrictive vibration power generators for IoT (Internet of Things). This time, we improved the crystal growth conditions for 2.6 inch square Fe-Ga crystals and succeeded in growing single crystals stably. We report on our approach.
