In this study, we aim to develop a new photoreaction system with near-infrared light by using lanthanide-based up-conversion (UC), and promote stable and efficient photoreactions. The structures and emission wavelength of lanthanide-based UC particles have been optimized for application to photoreaction systems. Here, we report the photoisomerization with NIR light of photochromic molecules by using Er-based green emissive UC particles.
