We are developing an exploratory Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) cavity that couples excitons and light in organic thin films with surface plasmons in metal thin films. We examined structures of device that can be fabricated lithographically, which have potential for ASE expression. Using COMSOL®, we performed a classical optics analysis using finite element method. We obtained results that are expected to yield an ASE derived from the WGM.
