NMR measurement have become one of the evaluation methods for the structure and molecular dynamics of materials, and various strategies have been developed so far. However, all of these methods require strict experimental conditions with low cost-effectiveness, such as extremely low temperature, high vacuum, and large-scale equipment, etc. Furthermore, most of the strategies often fail to lift restriction on limits the measurable sample geometry. Therefore, using a custom-built NMR device with static magnetic field gradient by needle-like ferromagnet, we have developed a simple methodology for low-cost multidimensional magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and nuclear spin relaxation imaging for polymer thin films, which aims at reduction of the restrictions on sample geometry using ex-situ measurement.
