A simple tubular hollow-core fiber (HCF) is designed and fabricated for terahertz wave guidance. The six tube polycarbonate fiber geometry is numerically optimized. The designed fiber shows a confinement loss (CL) of 0.05 dB/m with a total loss (TL) of 7.5 dB/m at 0.8 THz. In comparison, the fabricated fiber have a higher TL of 70.4 dB/m due to distortions in fiber geometry.
