Thin film thermoelectric materials are expected as independent power sources for IoT (internet of things) sensors, which require high thermoelectric conversion efficiency near room temperature. Although Bi2Te3-based materials have shown the highest thermoelectric performance near room temperature, recently it has been reported that Mg-based Zintl phase compounds exhibit comparable performance. In this presentation, we will present thermoelectric properties of epitaxially grown Mg3Sb2 on c-Al2O3 substrate.
