Since the magnetic domain structure of magnetic materials greatly affects the properties of magnetic materials and devices, it is desirable to control the magnetic domain structure suitable for the material or device. Therefore, it is important to observe the magnetic domain structure of magnetic materials. The authors have observed the magnetic domains of various magnetic materials using the magnetic Kerr effect, which has many advantages in in-situ magnetic domain observation when magnetic fields or heat are applied to magnetic materials. In this paper, we report on examples of magnetic domain observation of magnetic materials using the Kerr effect and its usefulness.
