An acetone biosniffer for exhaled air for early diagnosis of diabetes and the exhaled acetone measurement as its application will be explained. In addition, a gas-imaging system for ethanol and acetaldehyde on the skin surface for transcutaneous gas measurement of blood-derived components will also be introduced. Based on the imaging results, a headphone-type transcutaneous gas sensor has been developed as a novel wearable biosensor and discusses its future potential.
