若年層が膨らんだ初等・中等教育の現場は、十分な経験を積みOJTの担い手となる40〜50代の教員が極端に少なくゆがんだ年齢構成となっていることから、「教育スキル」を伝承する機能が弱まってしまっている。とりわけ理科教育においては、小学校教員の理科離れもあり、より深刻な状況に置かれているといえよう。そのような状況の中で、次世代の教育を担う人材に、何をどのように伝え、未来を託していくのかを改めて考えたい。
