We structure the Ni electrodes for hydrogen evolution reduction by water electrolysis with nanosecond NIR/UV lasers, and evaluate the their electrolytic performance. Our results are comparable to those of femtosecond laser-structured electrodes, which take a considerable amount of time to structure and are very expensive.
