In this study, we designed a CMOS chip for artificial vision with a supply voltage monitoring circuit that feeds back the supply voltage to the control device, and evaluated a system to supply sufficient supply voltage during multi-point constant-current stimulation. This system dynamically compensates for voltage drops associated with the amout of current in the Pt wires connecting the control device outside the eye and the stimulation device implanted in the eye, and solves the problem of the CMOS chip in the stimulation device falling below the voltage required for constant-current stimulation.
