The high scalability of spatial-photonic Ising machines has not been fully exploited because the frame rate of spatial light modulators limits the execution speed of the system. In this study, we considered to employ a digital micromirror device (DMD), which is capable of high-speed modulation, in the system for speeding up of computing. We developed a spatial phase modulation method with the DMD, and experimentally confirmed the potential usability in the proof-of-concept system.
