Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is attracting attention as a functional nanomaterial due to its characteristic self-assembled molecular structure. We are aiming to realize novel device applications of DNA thin films by using the laser molecular beam deposition (LMBD) method, which enables hybrid molecular layer deposition on a wide range of inorganic and organic materials (T. Murata et al., Bull. Chem. Soc. Jpn., 96, 29 (2022).). In this study, we evaluate the influence of the LMBD film formation conditions on the structural properties of the formed DNA thin films.
