In this study, the CNT forest density was increased by adding Fc and AIP to the CNT growth process. The addition of Fc and AIP to the thermal CVD process increased the weight density of CNT forests with a length of 1300 µm by 3.6 times, from 41.5 mg/cm3 to 150 mg/cm3. This suggests that Fc and AIP have the effect of supplementing the catalyst and suppressing the thermal aggregation of the catalyst particles.
