The state in which solid (dust) particles are contained in plasmas generated by an rf discharge or others is called dusty plasmas. The advantage of the coexistence of dust particles and plasmas is that the dust particles can be stably trapped in space. The idea of applying the trapped dust particles as devices has been presented. The behavior of dust particles in plasmas will be explained, and demonstrations of the applications of dusty plasmas utilizing its characteristics will be presented.
