We fabricated a metasurface reflector for 28GHz using the inkjet method. Using visualization technology of the electromagnetic field with a microprobe, we observed the reflection behavior of the metasurface reflector. As a result, we observed that the surface current excited by the incident wave propagates along the surface while radiating the reflected wave.
This is the first time that the basic process of generating reflected waves from the metasurface reflector has been directly observed. It can be said that this evaluation method is extremely useful for the development of metasurface reflectors fabricated by the inkjet method.
