[23p-P02-8] Attempt of crystal growth and evaluation of molecular ordering to PTCDI-C₈ grown in mixture solution using nematic liquid crystal as a solvent

For high-performance organic semiconducting devices, alignment effect of p-type semiconducting molecules on homogeneous liquid crystal molecules has been reported so far. To adopt this solution-processed technology for organic photovoltaics in the future, we attempted crystal growth of a perylene derivative as the n-type organic semiconductor in homogeneous liquid crystal solvent. As the results of various evaluations to deposited its crystals, we clarified that perylene molecules aligned along alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules.
