Inorganic EL is a device that is excited and emits light when an electric field is applied. BaAl2S4:Eu phosphor is expected to be a promising blue phosphor for full-color EL display applications. In this study, BaAl2S4:Eu powders were synthesized and characterized from Al, BaS, S, and EuS powders by a solid-state reaction method.
